Anindita initiates a shining exercise to inspire Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme

Hoshiarpur: 23 November, 2016: DC Anindita Mitra & Chairman BBBP programme Hoshiarpur today reached the house of newly born girl child at village Chandeli. Her visit to the house of the new born girl Harseerat was a part of the campaign launched by her two months ago. Anindita Mitra has launched a campaign to plant a tree on the premises of the house of the new born girl child to give a message of the “save girl child” programme. Every time a girl child is born one tree is planted in girl house.
DC Anindita said “The main goal of this campaign is to save and educate the girl child all over in the district. Another aim is to eliminate the gender biased sex selective abortions and ensuring survival and protection of girl child”. It is a conscious effort to save girl child and signify importance of green cover at the same time.
Anindita said “Plantation of the tree in the house of new born girl is to create awareness. There is need of awareness, appreciation and support of all citizens especially youth and women groups for this social change”. Anindita disclosed that “So far 418 trees have planted on the premises of the new born girls in the district”.
Anindita said “Tree plantation indicates and signifies clean environment and congenial atmosphere. They offer the most important thing that is fresh air which is the basic need for human to survive”.
Today, along with Anindita Mitra, her subordinates also reached the houses of two new born girls and planted trees as part of this campaign. Assistant Commissioner (G) Navjeet Kaur Bal planted tree in village “Daulharon” and DTO Jagjeewan jot Kaur planted tree in Mahilpur. (APS Brar)
